Wednesdays at 9:00 p.m.
Join us in the sanctuary on Chapel’s 2nd floor, or watch online!
Breaking NOISE! (January 23)
Headlines scream out sad and tragic news—school shootings, natural disasters, unexpected deaths. We have only one place to go to escape the noise of bad news: Biblical headline—nothing can separate us from God’s love.
The Noise from Next Door (January 30)
College offers the opportunity to meet and spend time with friends. Some of those gatherings can offer temptations that are difficult to resist. Only Jesus gives the strength to swim against the current.
The Noise from My Phone (February 6)
Texts. Snaps. Calendar updates. Emails. Breaking News. Connection to a phone can come at a cost—our productivity can take a hit and what is most important can be neglected. God’s kindness and mercy cut through the fog and motivate us to live for him.
The Noise Coming Down State Street (February 13)
Displays, protests, riots, even violence can visit the Capital building. When we hear the noise of those who think differently than us, we might become hardened against them. Jesus’ love for us allows us to show love to all people.
The Noise from Our Lists (February 20)
Projects, papers, tests, laundry, planning for the future—our lists can seem endless and longer than we can handle. When we need relief from being overwhelmed and rest from exhaustion, our Lord has the answer.
The Noise from Those Other Jobs (February 27)
College jobs pay the bills, but they are often far from what we want to be doing. They eat up our time and sometimes become more of a priority than schoolwork. God wants us to find fulfillment in work and yet be reminded that a much greater glory awaits us.
The Noise Inside Our Heads (April 17)
We find it so easy to compare ourselves to others. When we do, voices in our heads try to convince us we are not good enough, pretty enough, smart enough. God’s voice tells us we are precious, loved, redeemed and beautifully created.
