Join us for a presentation from former WELS Kingdom Worker Liz Meister, who will tell us about the work of Thai Village Inc (TVI), a non-profit organization started with assistance from WELS Kingdom Workers. TVI designs and produces handmade goods made by women and men who are contacts of the local WELS churches in Thailand, and seeks to develop long- term Christian relationships with these artisans. TVI encourages economic self- sufficiency among low-income populations by providing opportunities for vocational training, made possible by not-for-profit craft sales. Handicraft sales also help financially support our WELS Church in Chiang Mai and Seminary in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Liz grew up as the daughter of a missionary in Taiwan and now lives in Thailand working full-time with Thai Village.
